  Beginners can make a rug here: staff check your design before the day and help during the session. A 2–3 hour workshop in Shirokanedai makes a chair rug of about 35×35 cm from one of 10 set designs; a 60×60 cm rug workshop is also offered. Dates are listed on the studio's booking page and are paid by card in advance.

  Full-size rug course (60×60 cm)

  Beginners are welcome: the studio's FAQ says it explains the tufting gun and yarn handling from the basics. The full-size course makes a rug of about 60×60 cm in roughly 4 hours, and it is posted to you about two weeks later. Shorter courses make a 35×35 cm chair rug (from 12,000 JPY) or rug goods (from 7,000 JPY). Basic tools and materials are prepared by the studio, and booking is by appointment through the studio's LINE account.

  Tufting a mirror charm of your pet

  AOYAMA KONGBANG

  No experience required. A one-to-one session in the Omotesando area where you learn the tufting gun, practise straight and curved lines, then tuft a pet or family portrait from a sketch onto a mirror charm and finish it with a shaping cut.
