Beginners are welcome: the studio's FAQ says it explains the tufting gun and yarn handling from the basics. The full-size course makes a rug of about 60×60 cm in roughly 4 hours, and it is posted to you about two weeks later. Shorter courses make a 35×35 cm chair rug (from 12,000 JPY) or rug goods (from 7,000 JPY). Basic tools and materials are prepared by the studio, and booking is by appointment through the studio's LINE account.

A one-to-one session in the Omotesando area where you learn the tufting gun, practise straight and curved lines, then tuft a pet or family portrait from a sketch onto a mirror charm and finish it with a shaping cut.
